Since as early as 1870, children have been hanging their stockings on the mantelpiece above the fireplace on Christmas Eve in hopes that Santa will fill them up with treats.

When I was a child I remember my siblings and I would get so excited about hanging up our Christmas stockings. I can still remember the excitement over finding the lumpy, bulging, treat-filled stocking on Christmas morning. As a mother, I witnessed the same excitement with my kids on Christmas morning.

Our craftsmen can create custom wood fireplace mantles from a wide variety of reclaimed materials. Hand-hewn beam mantles bear rugged marks from a broad ax. Rough-sawn beam mantles are more refined, but still, including the circular saw marks from milling over a century ago. They can also re-saw and plane antique beams in a cleaner, more modern style.
